[VISUAL]: Night. The terrace of the Vance Hotel. Eleanor stands at the rail in white, the city burning behind her.
DEREK (behind her, close): "You shouldn't be out here alone."
ELEANOR (not turning): "I needed air."
DEREK: "You've been gone eleven minutes. People are starting to look for you."
ELEANOR: "That's very thoughtful of them."
[VISUAL]: In the terrace doorway, Sophie appears. She does not come closer. She does not have to.
SCENE 2: SETUP (0:06-0:30)
ELEANOR (turning): "Sophie. You came."
SOPHIE: "Someone had to make sure you didn't run."
ELEANOR: "Run where?"
SOPHIE: "Wherever you always run. Home. Except you sold it."
DEREK (gently): "Ellie. Come back inside. Everyone's waiting."
ELEANOR: "The wedding's in ninety minutes."
DEREK: "Eighty-four now."
[VISUAL]: Eleanor looks between them — the man she is marrying, the sister she raised from six years old. Neither one is surprised to see the other standing here.
ELEANOR (very quiet): "You planned this together."
SOPHIE: "You always did like standing at the edge."
ELEANOR: "I liked standing where I could see your face."
DEREK (smiling, already moving): "You're tired. Come here."
ELEANOR: "Don't touch me."
SOPHIE: "She doesn't like being touched anymore. Did you notice?"
[The last thing she sees clearly is her sister's face, and it is not afraid.]
SOPHIE: "Say hello to your mother for me."
[VISUAL]: The rail is gone. The city rushes up. Then nothing.
SCENE 3: CORE CONFLICT (0:30-1:18)
[VISUAL]: Black. Then music — a string arrangement, too loud. Champagne. Chatter.
[VISUAL]: Eleanor is standing in the middle of a ballroom. A glass in her hand. She is wearing cream, not white.
DEREK (approaching, warm): "There you are. I've been looking for you everywhere."
[VISUAL]: Eleanor goes completely still. He has said this before. In this room. On this night. Word for word.
ELEANOR: "...What did you say?"
DEREK: "I said I've been looking for you. Are you alright?"
ELEANOR: "Say it again."
DEREK: "Ellie, you're scaring me."
ELEANOR: "Again."
DEREK: "I've been looking for you everywhere. There. Happy?"
ELEANOR: "I remember the railing. I remember counting eleven floors."
DEREK: "You've never been to the terrace before."
[VISUAL]: Her hand finds her phone. The screen lights her face. The date is ninety days before the one she died on.
ELEANOR (to no one): "No."
SCENE 4: THE HOOK (1:18-1:30)
SOPHIE (from behind, cheerful): "Ellie! You're missing your own party."
[VISUAL]: Eleanor turns slowly. Sophie is alive. So is Derek. So, apparently, is she.
[VISUAL]: In the mirror behind the bar her reflection wears blood at the temple. She blinks. It does not.
DEREK: "Ellie, whatever's wrong, we can talk inside."
ELEANOR (quietly): "No. I'm not missing it."
SOPHIE: "What?"
ELEANOR: "I'm right on time."
SUBTITLE: "She died at the altar. She woke up ninety days earlier — with every memory of who pushed her."
