COLD OPEN (0:00–0:06)
VISUAL: A red-hooded figure steps into the dim basement ring. Bleach and sweat in the air. A ring card reads "Undercard."
BIG JOE (into the glove mic): "Undercard, ladies and germs. Thirty seconds, then we go home."
BIG JOE: "New face in red. Book says you're the easy one. Book's been wrong before."
Rory pulls the hood down. She isn't looking at the crowd. She's watching the other kid's shoulder.
RORY (under her breath): "He's nervous. Nervous people twitch."
RORY (to the tape on her hands): "Forty-one fights I've watched from this corner. Tonight I stop watching."
SCENE 2 · SETUP (0:06–0:30)
VISUAL: Rory bounces once, eyes locked on her opponent's right deltoid. He shakes out his arms — twice, every time.
LUCKY (corner, low): "This one's a warm-up, Rory. Touch him, take the round, we cash the ticket."
RORY: "I'm not here to touch him, Lucky."
RORY: "Lucky, if I win, do I get a poster? Or just the corner?"
BEA (from the rail, tablet up): "Odds say you lose. I bet you don't."
BEA: "I pulled the last eleven of his bouts. Every one, right hook, shoulder first. You're not guessing."
RORY: "I never guess. Guessing gets you counted."
She bounces once. The kid shakes out his arms — right deltoid, twice, every time.
RORY (under her breath): "Right hook. He always loads the shoulder first."
SCENE 3 · CORE CONFLICT (0:30–1:18)
VISUAL: The bell. He loads the hook — shoulder jerks a half-inch before the fist moves. She is already gone.
LUCKY: "Rory, move! Move!"
LUCKY: "Beautiful. That's my girl. Slip, counter, don't admire it."
She doesn't need him. She reads it, slips outside, counters with the left. He stumbles into the ropes.
KNOX (leaning on the ropes): "The little red one's got eyes. Somebody teach her."
KNOX: "You slip like you knew it was coming, red. That's not luck."
RORY (to herself): "I knew. I always know. That's the whole trick."
RORY (under her breath): "Don't smile. Don't give them the tell."
But her left lip corner lifts — a fraction, gone before anyone names it.
VISUAL: Slow-motion close-up on her opponent's shoulder as it twitches; Rory's weight already shifting the other way. The gym audio drops to a heartbeat.
He swings again. She is not there.
SCENE 4 · THE HOOK (1:18–1:30)
VISUAL: Rory drops him with a clean left at 0:48. The basement goes silent. Then one pair of hands claps — slow, deliberate — from a bald man in the far corner. He is gone before she finds him.
LUCKY (after, relieved): "You did it clean. No one paid for this one, kid. It's yours."
RORY (soft, to no one): "Who was that?"
THEO (wiping her brow with a bloodstained towel): "Nobody who matters yet. Keep your hands up."
RORY: "I read him. I read all of him."
