COLD OPEN (0:00-0:06)
[VISUAL]: Dallas, Dealey Plaza, 22 November 1963. The open limousine turns onto Elm Street while a man in a grey suit on the grassy knoll lowers a brass device and checks his watch.
He is not watching the President. He is watching the second hand.
MARCUS: "Eleven seconds early. He didn't come here to watch history happen. He came to beat the clock."
SCENE 2: SETUP (0:06-0:30)
[VISUAL]: TIME Headquarters. The alert wall burns amber above the 1963 file while Emily pushes her glasses up and reads numbers off the glass.
EMILY: "Record says the first shot fires at 12:30:00. This one fires at 12:29:49."
SULLIVAN: "Eleven seconds. That's not a tweak, that's a decade."
EMILY: "Vietnam, the Civil Rights bill, the moon landing. He takes eleven seconds, he takes all three."
SULLIVAN: "Chen. You've stood in that plaza before. Talk to me about it."
MARCUS: "I stood in it. I didn't fix it. Two agents didn't walk out."
SCENE 3: CORE CONFLICT (0:30-1:18)
[VISUAL]: Dealey Plaza. Period crowd, confetti still falling. Marcus crosses the grassy knoll with his tactical watch screaming amber and stops where the grass lies flat.
Hot brass and mown grass. He has smelled this exact afternoon before.
MARCUS: "Soil's still warm under the grass. He knelt here a full sixty seconds."
EMILY: "Sixty seconds he doesn't have in the record. That's when he aims."
MARCUS: "He isn't aiming. He's leaving it where I'll find it."
SULLIVAN: "Twelve twenty-nine forty-nine, Chen. You stop that shot, or you don't come back."
MARCUS: "I ran that drill in sixty-three. I buried two people doing it."
EMILY: "Then don't do the arithmetic alone this time. Talk me through it."
[VISUAL]: The limousine slows on Elm Street. Marcus shoves through the crowd toward the Depository; high in the corner window, a rifle silhouette withdraws into shadow.
MARCUS: "Shot down at twelve twenty-nine forty-nine. Record's back where it belongs."
EMILY: "Then who taught him our correction window? That window is classified."
SCENE 4: THE HOOK (1:18-1:30)
[VISUAL]: Behind the pergola the man in grey is gone. A brass disc ticks on the cracked concrete, a fresh date scratched into its face.
EMILY: "April fourteenth, nineteen twelve. That's the night the Titanic hits the ice."
FIGURE (through the disc): "Correct the ocean, detectives. I'll be in the cold water long before you arrive."
SUBTITLE: "They bought Dallas back for eleven seconds. The next eleven seconds belong to a ship."
END CARD: "TO BE CONTINUED"
